În pictura aceasta, ceea ce zboară pe cerul verzui este un suflet care caută un alt suflet. Sufletului căutat, care nu se vede în pictură, i s-a dat numele de Michael, iar Michael are ochii albaştrii la fel ca şi nuanţele sufletului cel îl caută. Ştiind cu toţii că ochii sunt poarta către suflet, înţelegem lesne că sufletul numit Michael poartă şi el aceleaşi nuanţe de albastru în sine. Toate acestea fiind arătate, putem concluziona că ceea ce se caută este sufletul-pereche.
E drept, dar dacă privim mai cu aplecare, vedem limpede că sufletul-pereche căutat este cel cu aceleaţi nuanţe ca ale celui care caută…şi dacă asta era deja explicit enunţat mai sus, nu este oare la fel de evident că, de fapt, căutarea este căutarea de Sine?

In this painting, what we see flying above the green sky is a soul that is searching for another soul. The soul that is being searched for, which does not appear in the painting, was given the name of Michael and Michael has blue eyes, just like the shades of blue of the soul that is searching for it. As is it well-known that the eyes are the window to the soul, we easily understand that the soul named Michael carries the same shades of blue inside. After all these things were being pointed out, we can conclude by saying that what is being searched for is the soul-mate.
This is all true, but if we look closer, we can clearly see that the soul-mate that is being searched for has the same shades of color as the one that is searching for it…and, if this was already clearly stated above, isn’t it as clear that the soul was searching for itself?
